With shock on his face, the old man recognized the boy as Shubairu and asked who had hurt him. Shubairu bravely recounted how he narrowly escaped from a group of attackers, warning that they were a significant threat and would kill everyone in the town and take their belongings. The news spread rapidly, causing panic among the marketgoers, who fled to secure their goods and warn others in the town.
