About this Novel

The story of Princess Sahbitriya, originating from the Hindu epic 'Mahabharata,' begins with a king named Nadarana. This king possessed immense wealth, including multiple wives, but he had never been blessed with children. Filled with longing for a child, he fervently prayed to his idols, seeking divine intervention. One night, during his sleep, Nadarana experienced a significant dream. In this dream, a celestial figure descended from heaven and delivered a message to him. The mysterious visitor prophesied that Nadarana would have a daughter, but her fate would be unusual. If she was compelled to marry anyone other than her chosen one, she would meet an untimely death. On the other hand, if she married someone other than the king, he would perish within a year. This dream left King Nadarana deeply perturbed. He contemplated the implications of this unusual vision but chose to keep it a secret, sharing it with no one. Not long after this dream, one of King Nadarana's beloved wives became pregnant. The king's joy knew no bounds when she gave birth to an extraordinarily beautiful girl. She was named Sahbitriya.
